“KFB” THE BIG MAN PASSED AWAY

Losing someone or something you love is very painful. After a significant loss, you may experience all kinds of difficult and surprising emotions, such as shock, anger, and guilt.
Kiona Falanka Barthélemy passed away Thursday, March 10. 2011 at 8:30 am at Kinshasa after a lengthy illness. He was 67. We appreciate everyone's prayers over the months and a big thank you to all of you who shared your love, wisdom, and condolences with us. It's hard. We love him. We're going to miss him, but he's in a better place. He's not sick anymore. He was a family man. He loved his kids, loved his wife, he loved his family and friends.
He was like a father to me. He was always there for me. He was kind, compassionate, and considerate.
To his friends, KFB was a man of few words who had an unending love and caring for those around him. Today we celebrate his life well lived. We extend our deepest sympathies to his wife Rose and their entire family.
Kiona Falanka Barthélemy was Associate Director for the National Society of Insurance in Zaire for many years. He was also appointed financial Advisor in various Departments. While AFDL was in power, KFB was hired as Head of a Division at the National Office for wrongfully Acquired Goods.

May his soul rest in peace!
